UCLA Blowout!

Chris and I went the the UCLA game last Saturday. It was awesome. My parents had to leave last minute so they called us about 2 hours before the game and gave us their awesome seats. We were smart enough to leave Carson home with a babysitter this time!

Discovery!!

Carson did this for like 20 minutes and he laughed when I would tell him to stop.

Football Game 2008 Northern Iowa

We went to the opening football game for BYU. Last year we took Carson when he was a baby and he screamed the entire time because of the noisy crowd. Well for some reason we thought this year he would love it. The game started out great. We had awesome seats on the 50 yard line. About 5 minutes into the game Carson wanted out. The rest of the game I was down under the bleachers. Carson somehow found every parked service vehicle and wanted to play on them.

Chris got to stay by himself & only came down when he got a SURPRISE call from a good friend of his. Adam Womble who was in town on a 2 week leave from Afganistan was @ the game. He called Chris and Chris came running down with excitment as he did not know Adam was home. The game was exciting but Chris was maybe more excited about seeing Adam.
We chased Carson around the stadium for the remainder of the game & he ran from golf cart to John Deere tractor onto other car type vehichles. We learned our lesson and are not going to bring Carson to another BYU football game for like 5 more years!

INTO EVERYTHING

Carson has been so fun to watch lately. He is so interested in everything and tries to copy everything we do. He favorite words right now are hi, bye, shoes and hot. It is so funny to hear him try new words and realize he understands what we say now. It is also scary to think that we have to start being "Good examples" or he will copy our bad habits too!

DON'T ASK!!!!

Carson Houdini

This is what we were dealing with every night. Carson magically discovered how to get out of his crib (basically flinging himself over the edge and us hearing a loud boom.) So then we decided to move the porta crib into his room with higher sides. It worked for one night. Then we would hear grunting sounds and a plop. Carson would then grab his blankie and binkie and calmly open the door and procede with a huge grin on his face into our bedroom. We started calling him CARSON HOUDINI because we had no idea how he was escaping.

Then Chris heard the grunting one night at four in the morning. This is what he discovered. Carson in action. He tried to act mad but laughed the entire process.

NEEDLESS TO SAY WE DISCOVERED CRIB TENTS!!! Now we can sleep!

Summer

--Summer is flying by. We love being outside and enjoying family and friends. Here we are up at the cabin
--Chris' sister is in town so we had a pool party with the cousins
--Carson watching his first parade. He loved EVERY minute of it!
--At the lake. Carson was thrilled the whole tube ride
--Dad and his boy at the ballpark
